Whether you are a first-time reader or a seasoned Frank follower, thank you for finding your way to our 13th issue. As we release our 13th issue, we are aware that the number 13 is said to be unlucky. However, this semester, it has been quite the opposite for our team of creatives. 

We have been handed a platform too special to waste and a canvas to inspire ourselves and our readers. So, on the first week of classes, our team of writers, designers, and photographers gathered to brainstorm our version of Frank. The conversation was electric as we tackled the challenges and frustrations of being a young creative. From the fear and excitement of post-grad life to the world of dating in your 20s, we covered it all. 

Working with a diverse group of artistic and creative minds brought forth a myriad of unique perspectives where we could freely explore our artistry without limitations. There are no boundaries or rules, just pure creativity. The mastermind behind our inviting work environment? None other than our Jo-Nell Sieren, our patient and optimistic professor, whom we can’t thank enough for her guidance and support. We all had a voice every step of the journey, leading to the magazine we cherish and adore.

This 13th issue was never bound to be unlucky but rather a lens for our team of Frank to share our thoughts and feelings; it’s a platform for others to connect with a community where they can find solidarity. We are changing the narrative of 13. 13 is lucky, filled with fresh opportunities, and it’s the issue we hope inspires you, as we have curated a little bit of everything for everyone. Frank is for you, our reader!
